Rope suspension bridges in Ghana

The bridges illustrated on this page comprise a tourist jungle canopy walkway in a Ghanaian rainforest. The bridges comprise rope suspension cables fixed to trees, from which ladders are suspended to form the deck. Planks are laid over the ladder rungs for safety and rope handrails are tied to the vertical ropes. Only one person is allowed on each of the seven bridges at any one time. Care has to be exercised when walking along the bridges to avoid setting up large vertical and/or horizontal lateral movements.
